CRUCIAL PRACTICES TO MAINTAIN YOUR WATCH

Over the years, watches have become an increasingly important aspect of personality, as they are associated with personal memories. Watches are made to last, and it's not hard to take proper care of them to keep them looking their best.

In this blog we give you advice on the care and maintenance of the watch. First, and perhaps most important, is to make the watch really stand out. Nobody likes jewelry full of dust particles and fingerprints.

But what is the best way to clean your watch? There are still many people who often make mistakes.

Clock Cleaning

First, be sure to clean your watch as often as possible. Most people would say take a microfiber cloth and lather up the band and case to remove any dirt or dust.

We do not recommend using soap to clean your watch, as soap molecules can get into very small spaces and may even have an adverse effect on your watch.

Checking the water resistance of the watch

It is important to know the water resistance of the watch in question. A watch may have a high water resistance rating, but the material that protects the movement can dry out, lowering the water resistance of the watch. If you swim or shower with your watch, you may want to have your watch checked for water resistance annually.

Macklein watches are water resistant to 5 ATM. This means that the watch is splash resistant and not suitable for swimming.

No limits needed

It is very important to keep your watch on time. Have your watch checked by someone qualified to use quartz watches every three to four years. We will write a longer blog post on this in the future as we feel it deserves more attention. Keep your watch away from magnets. Some people may not be aware that placing the watch near a magnet may adversely affect the timekeeping of the watch.

Also stay away from chemicals. Avoid exposure to chemicals, such as cleaning products. This affects the quality of the watch's steel and is generally not covered under warranty.
