At Macklein, we are living a historic moment, one of the most important steps since launching our first collection. After months of development, testing, and technical decisions, we are about to reveal our first automatic watch. Today, we want to share a very special preview: the movement that will bring this new piece to life.
A watch can captivate with its design, but the movement is what gives it a soul. Choosing that heart is not something we take lightly.
The search for the ideal movement
Before closing the design or selecting colors and finishes, we knew the movement had to be reliable, well-known, and easy to maintain. We wanted a robust caliber with an excellent international reputation, good parts availability, and a lifespan capable of accompanying its wearer for decades.
We explored different options, from Miyota to modern Swiss or China calibers. But among all possibilities, one movement stood out immediately.
Seiko NH35A, a heart that never fails
The movement powering our first automatic is the Seiko NH35A, one of the most reliable, durable, and respected calibers in the world. Used by countless brands and collectors, it has earned its reputation for delivering the perfect balance of precision and strength.
